The Mustang Broncos are preparing to take on the Edmond North Huskies next week for a battle on the basketball court and the school council is hoping fans will support a worthy cause while cheering on their team.

The Mustang High School Student Council will hold an area food drive on Friday, Dec. 14 during the Broncos game against Edmond North.

Organizers say fans can bring one canned food item per each dollar of admission into the game.

For example, five canned items will cover the $5 admission charge for an adult into the game.

In addition to parents getting in for a few cans of food, students can still get free admission if they wear Bronco gear.

At the end of the showdown, all game admissions will be donated to the food drive.

Varsity games begin at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
